Import names is explained on a separate page.
Export names opens a Windows standard Save as dialog with names_<eventname>.utf8 as the default name and Desktop as the default destination. This file will contain all names and player IDs on file.
See the description of import names if you need a description of the exported .utf8 file.
Import deals can be used to import the deals belonging to the current event. Note that import is automatic if deals exist in BOS and that it is, generally speaking, better to import the deals into BOS in advance than to import them into BTC at game start. See further the Deals page.
Export deals file can be used to transfer the deals to external programs.
Reload database is useful if you notice that the BTC is not fully in sync with the tablets and/or the scoring program (after a movement change e.g.).
