ADD A DESIGN TO DATABASE
The Add to database function is useful when you want to use a .bin file containing a design that is not part of the main database.
Press shift+ctrl+alt+A in BOS (not Dupsoft) to display the dialog to the right.
Make sure that you have set the index type correctly before you drag and drop the source file.
Drag and drop the source file into the box in the dialog and the new design is ready to use.
You find the teach files that you have created yourself in the BOS/DupSoft folder. The file is called the_name_you_entered.bin.
Note that the import takes a while and that you need to wait for an OK message to appear after each import.
We recommend that you keep the source file(s) as backup because your custom design(s) will be lost at update of the system.
